This Creator Agreement governs participation in the creator program on African Story MovieBox Shorts, available at shorts.africanstorymoviebox.com.
By registering as a creator, uploading content, or participating in creator monetization, you agree to this Creator Agreement in addition to our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and Copyright Policy.
1. Becoming a Creator
Creators may be required to create and maintain a valid Platform account.
We may establish eligibility requirements for different creator features, including free uploads, premium content, monetization, or exclusive content.
Meeting a minimum requirement does not necessarily guarantee approval.
2. Creator Responsibility
You are responsible for every piece of content you upload.
You confirm that:
- You have the necessary rights to upload the content.
- You have permission to use third-party material included in the content.
- The content does not knowingly violate another person’s rights.
- The content complies with our Community Guidelines.
- The information you provide to the Platform is accurate.
3. Ownership of Creator Content
You retain ownership of original content that you own.
Nothing in this Agreement transfers ownership of your copyright to African Story MovieBox unless separately agreed in writing.
4. License Granted to African Story MovieBox
By uploading content, you grant African Story MovieBox a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license, to the extent reasonably necessary to operate and promote the Platform, to:
- Host your content
- Store your content
- Encode and process your content
- Stream your content
- Display your content
- Create technical versions of your content
- Display thumbnails
- Promote your content
- Include your content in search and recommendations
- Use your content in Platform-related promotional materials
This license does not transfer ownership of your content.
5. Creator Profiles
Creators may have public profiles containing information such as:
- Creator name
- Profile image
- Biography
- Uploaded videos
- Followers
- Views
- Likes
- Other publicly displayed statistics
Creators are responsible for ensuring that their public profile information is appropriate and accurate.
6. Free Content
Creators may upload content designated for free viewing, subject to the Platform’s technical requirements and content rules.
Free content may be available to users without payment.
7. Premium Content
Where the Platform offers premium creator content, eligible creators may submit videos for premium access.
Premium content may require users to purchase a subscription, access plan, or other paid service.
The Platform may establish technical, content, duration, quality, or eligibility requirements for premium content.
8. Exclusive Content
Where an exclusive-content program is available, additional eligibility requirements may apply.
Exclusive content may receive different monetization or revenue-sharing arrangements according to the applicable creator program rules.
9. Creator Monetization
Eligible creators may participate in monetization programs offered by African Story MovieBox Shorts.
Monetization may include revenue generated from:
- Advertising
- Premium content
- Subscriptions
- Other Platform-approved revenue sources
Not every video, view, or interaction will necessarily generate revenue.
10. Revenue Sharing
Where a specific creator program provides a revenue-sharing percentage, the applicable percentage and calculation method will be communicated through the relevant creator program or Platform documentation.
The Platform may deduct applicable fees, refunds, chargebacks, taxes, payment-processing costs, fraud adjustments, or other permitted deductions before calculating amounts payable to creators.
11. Invalid Activity
Creators must not artificially increase:
- Views
- Likes
- Followers
- Comments
- Shares
- Watch time
- Advertising impressions
- Advertising clicks
- Premium purchases
Fraudulent or manipulated activity may result in:
- Removal of affected activity
- Adjustment of earnings
- Suspension of monetization
- Withholding of payments
- Account suspension
- Account termination
12. Copyright Claims
If content uploaded by a creator is found to infringe another person’s copyright, we may remove or restrict the content.
Repeated copyright violations may result in termination of creator privileges.
13. Creator Payments
Where creator payments are available, creators may be required to provide accurate payment and identity information.
Payment methods and minimum payout thresholds may be established by the Platform.
Payments may be delayed while transactions, activity, identity, fraud, copyright complaints, chargebacks, or other issues are reviewed.
14. Taxes
Creators are responsible for understanding and meeting their own tax obligations arising from income received through the Platform.
The Platform may withhold or report amounts where required by applicable law.
15. Prohibited Creator Content
Creators must not upload content that violates:
- Applicable law
- Copyright or intellectual property rights
- Community Guidelines
- Terms & Conditions
- Privacy rights
- Platform security requirements
16. Creator Account Security
Creators are responsible for protecting their login credentials.
Creators must not share accounts for the purpose of circumventing Platform restrictions or monetization requirements.
17. Removal of Creator Content
We may remove or restrict creator content when necessary to:
- Enforce Platform rules
- Respond to copyright complaints
- Protect users
- Comply with legal requirements
- Address security concerns
- Prevent fraud or abuse
18. Creator Account Suspension
A creator account may be suspended or terminated for serious or repeated violations.
Where appropriate, we may provide an opportunity to appeal an enforcement decision.
19. Ending Your Creator Participation
You may stop participating as a creator by closing your creator account or contacting the Platform.
Content may remain available where necessary for legal, technical, contractual, or other legitimate purposes, subject to applicable law.
20. Changes to the Creator Program
African Story MovieBox Shorts may modify creator features, eligibility requirements, monetization systems, technical requirements, or revenue-sharing arrangements as the Platform develops.
Where changes materially affect existing creator arrangements, we may provide notice where required.

If a conflict exists, the specific terms applicable to the particular creator program or transaction may govern to the extent permitted by law.
